The 62nd NHL All-Star weekend has come to a close!
In the first semifinal game, the Pacific Division All-Stars defeat the Central Division All-Stars, 10 to 3. In the second semifinal game, the Metropolitan Division All-Stars defeat the Atlantic All-Stars, 10 to 6. Lastly, in the championship game, the Metropolitan All-Stars defeat the Pacific Division All-Stars, 4 to 3.
#17 Forward Wayne Simmonds of the Philadelphia Flyers was named the 2017 NHL All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Award! He scored three goals including 8 shots - a < 3 rating in two games, including the game-winning goal in the championship game.
Since the Metropolitan Division All-Stars won the All-Star Game, they split $1 million.
The 62nd NHL All-Star Game was held at Staples Center in Los Angeles, home of the Los Angeles Kings. This was the third event that the city hosted the All-Star Game and the firse once since 2002. Next year's 2018 NBA All-Star Game will be held in the same city.
Now, here is thee overall record of each division who participated in the All-Star Game as follows:
Atlantic Division: 0-1
Metropolitan Division: 1-0
Central Division: 0-0
Pacific Division: 1-1
And now that this year's 62nd NHL All-Star game is in the books, NHL will be off for tomorrow and the second half of the 2015-2016 NHL regular season will resume on Tuesday leading up to the road to the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
