Current 2016-2017 NBA Regular Season Standings
With 849 of 1,230 games played so far, the 2016-2017 NBA regular season is in the All-Star break.

Going into the All-Star break, the defending NBA champion, Cleveland Cavaliers has the best record in the Eastern Conference with 39 wins and 16 losses (.709). The Cavaliers have won the last three consecutive games and is 8-2 in the last 10 games.

The Golden State Warriors have reeled from a 73-9 regular season all-time record last year only to lose their second consecutive NBA championship and their third NBA title overall. This year, the Warriors are 47-9 (.839) and have one only one game prior to the All-Star break and are 8-2 over the last 10 games.

The only team to be possibly qualified for the 2017 NBA playoffs is below .5 mark right now is the Denver Nuggets who have only won 25 games and lost 31 (.446). The Nuggets are 4-6 over the last ten games and lost only one game going into the break. If the Nuggets season record does not improve, they could miss the playoffs after the remaining 26 games have been completed.

The worst team in the NBA so far this year is the Brooklyn Nets who have won only 9 games and lost 47 games (.161) so far this year. Going into the break, the Nets have lost the last 14 consecutive games and have not won any of the last 10 games so far.

The second half of the 2016-2017 NBA regular season will resume on Thursday leading up to the road to the 2017 NBA Playoffs.

All teams will have 24 to 27 games remaining in the schedule. While the top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the playoffs, the bottom seven will be eliminated from playoff contention.

The Eastern and Western Conference standings going into the All-Star break will determine who will qualify for the 2017 NBA Playoffs after the remaining 381 games have been completed going out of the All-Star break.

For now, here are the top eight seeded teams in each conference and how they will fair if the regular season ended today:

3. Washington Wizards: 34-21 (.618)
4. Toronto Raptors: 33-24 (.579)
5. Atlanta Hawks: 32-24 (.571)
6. Indiana Pacers: 29-28 (.508)
7. Chicago Bulls: 28-29 (.491)
8. Detroit Pistons: 27-30 (.474)

If the season ended today, the following teams in the Eastern Conference will be eliminated from playoff contention are: Philadelphia 76ers, Millwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Charolette Hornets, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic and Brooklyn Nets

3. Houston Rockets: 40-18 (.69)
4. Los Angeles Clippers: 35-21 (.625)

8. Denver Nuggets: 25-31 (.446)

If the season ended today, the following teams in the Western Conference will be eliminated from playoff contention are: Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trailblazers
